Now, that was easy wasn’t it?

For those of you who don’t already know, Twitter is a social networking site where people can come together to share their thoughts and feelings about, well, anything really.

Such is the site’s popularity, you can find people tweeting (talking) about virtually any subject you can think of, and many you haven’t even imagined!

One of those subjects is infosec, or information security, which encompasses a whole range of topics in the security field.

Many of the leaders in the industry have a Twitter account, as do the major security vendors.

If you follow these guys then you will have a wealth of information at your fingertips, covering topics ranging from malware to identity theft, antivirus programs to spam, and many other topics inbetween.

So, what I suggest you do now is sign up for a Twitter account at twitter.com and then start following as many quality people in the infosec field as you can.

To get you started I have compiled a list of many such people – #infosec on twitter – which contains 170+ names as of now.

That list will continue to grow so be sure to check back often for almost daily updates.
